Google kini kembali merilis fitur yang mereka kembangkan dan uji coba, di mana fitur RCS kembali diperbaiki dan hadir dalam versi Messages Beta. Tetapi, hanya pengguna berlangganan Google One saja yang saat ini baru bisa menggunakannya.
Beberapa waktu yang lalu, Google sedang menguji coba fitur SGE mereka di Google Search yang mana menjadi bagian dari Google AI I/O 2023 yang telah mereka selenggarakan minggu kemarin. Kini perusahaan kembali dengan membawa perbaikan dengan merilis RCS mereka di layanan Google Messages.
Google Messages menghadirkan Magic Compose yang diperuntukkan untuk penggunanya, jadi pengguna yang ingin mendapatkan akses ini harus menjadi bagian dari program Magic Compose. Google sendiri hanya merilis Magic Compose dalam ruang lingkup yang lebih kecil, di mana diantaranya terdapat tiga aspek yaitu:
- You have to sign-up for the Google Messages beta program on the Play Store, with the company officially recommending that you do the same with Carrier Services.
- This beta is currently only available “in English on Android phones with US SIM cards” for those 18 years and older.
- Lastly, Google will give priority access to Google One Premium members “as more spots become available.” The upcoming Google Search Generative Experience will be available in a similar manner.
Bisa dipastikan melalui aspek tersebut Google juga menekankan bahwa hanya pengguna Googne One saja yang mendapatkan akses pertama, di mana mereka harus berlangganan terlebih dahulu. Biaya berlangganan dari Google One juga masih sama yaitu $9,99 USD atau setara dengan Rp 149.000,00.
Google juga telah memberikan penjelasan mengenai bagaimana Magic Compose bekerja di Messages, berikut catatannya:
When activated in a conversation, Magic Compose will send up to 20 previous messages to Google’s servers to generate relevant, contextual suggestions. This includes emojis, reactions, and URLs, but not messages with attachments, voice messages, or images. However, “image captions and voice transcriptions may be sent.”
Google explicitly notes that these sent messages will not be stored or used to train machine learning models. After suggestions are generated, “Google discards the messages from the servers.” When you’re not using Magic Compose, “no messages are sent to Google.”
